Wild Foresters help children to understand more about wildlife/nature and participate in active adventures in the Forest. With the National Curriculum underpinning every session, we aim to have fun whilst learning about the environment around us!
Did you know we are also a Learning Provider for The Forestry Commission? We aim to deliver their learning message within all of our sessions; People, wildlife and Sustainability.
Once interest has been expressed, we will arrange a convienient time to call you and discuss our variety of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 programmes.

You can bring your whole class out the forest and participate in one our cross-curricular sessions; for either a half day or full day. Each of our sessions are risk assessed and run by a qualified Forest School teacher, with Enhanced DBS clearance and First aid qualifications.
We also offer after school clubs, a series of sessions or one -off half or full day events and staff training.
Children will have the opportunity to discover nature first hand and will be encouraged to make a range of products to take home.
In sessions we will build up the confidence of children, by designing manageable and fun activities.

With a real emphasis on outdoor learning, Ofsted has recognised that Forest school sessions are especially effective with pupil focus groups. Therefore sessions can be run as part of an enrichment week or out reach programme for the Gifted and Talented, SEN, EAL and Pupil premium students.
We work with small groups of students to help improve their self confidence and ability to learn the National Curriculum subjects through practical activities. Almost every subject at Secondary level can be taught through the outdoors:
Art – Being inspired by the calm of the woodland, enriched with colors and patterns.
Design & Technology – Creating and making wooden puppets, whistles, flower presses and cooking their own recipes on an open fire!
Sciences – Natural world, setting up a conservation project or learning about the Eco-system in a forest.
Maths – Percentages and fractions discussed whilst making, endless counting and arithmetic.
English – Listening to poetry and stories in the Forest school. Reading GCSE text in a calm setting. Students writing their own inspired poetry whilst sitting in a den.
Geography – Looking at the location of the Forest school, along with taking technical samples over the seasons.
Music & Performing Arts – Making musical instruments and singing in the Forest school.
PE – Physical outdoor activity, helps to focus the mind and to keep healthy.
Business studies – Working in teams to develop imaginary companies, draw up business plans.
Students could also start projects with Wild Foresters and finish them back at school.
We are also available to come into your school – this can be particularly beneficial for a short 1 or 2 hour slot.
